We recently made improvements to the [sleipnir://fixed] function in Sleipnir Mobile for iPhone / iPad (1.8.3). Recently, we have received questions regarding how to use the function, so today, I would like to introduce to you how to use it.

How to use it

In Sleipnir Mobile for iPhone / iPad, URLs beginning with sleipnir:// will open using Sleipnir when they are opened.

For example, if you open sleipnir:// from Mail or Safari, Sleipnir will start up, and open that link.

You can even specify whether to open URLs using the standard version or the Black Edition by using the relative link below:

Furthermore, for URLs to send secure data, just add “s” to the end.
For example, sleipnir:// becomes sleipnirs://.

Really put it to use with bookmarklets

I recommend using bookmarklets to make the best use of this function.
Please try adding the following code to your Safari bookmarks.

Create a bookmark, and then replace the URL with the code above.
Then, to remember what the bookmarklet does, change the name to something like [Open with Sleipnir].
If you then open this bookmark in Safari, the page you are viewing will be opened in Sleipnir.
