“Sleipnir? Is that English? How do you pronounce Sleipnir?”
This is the reaction our Web browser has been met with from time to time.
First off, let me confirm that “Sleipnir” is not of English origin. It is a horse from Norse mythology. Norse is a word referring to something of Norway.
The word has been used in myths and poems in the North of Europe for many centuries. You may have heard of the word in popular media such as in Final Fantasy VII where Odin is riding Sleipnir.
Today, we have released the latest version of the Web browser – Sleipnir 3 for Mac (3.4)! In this latest version, we have made radical changes to the display for looking through tabs at a glance – TiledTab! Now you can group by site for never seen before easy to find tabs.

The latest iPhone / iPad version for the Sleipnir Mobile Web browser was released last Thursday, May 3rd (1.9.2). It includes improvements to the reliability of operations and a fix to the issue where some buttons would be empty for certain languages.

Next week is the long consecutive period of public holidays in Japan called Golden Week. It is called golden week because it truly does feel like a golden week for the hard working workers in Japan.
We have also been working hard in order to release the alpha 2 version before golden week in aim to develop a Beta version. We have focused on implementing customization settings, and have succeeded in improving the operations for browsing and tabs. It is still not a fully-stable release, but users have request that they want to see that status of progress as quickly as possible, so in response to those users, we have provided this latest release!

In addition to the resolution of the pages not responding to operations issue and lengthy tab restoration issue, we have a number of reliability improvements to the overall app.
Furthermore, we have made improvements to operation-ability by adding support for keyboard shortcuts and right-clicking in the bookmark screen and displaying URLs of links below the screen so that they do not get in the way of the cursor.

Yes, it is big news!
Google has just released its cloud service called Google Drive. It has been highly anticipated for a while now, with the obvious possibilities of a Google cloud service that can link its services together, it really does seem like the internet is going to expand even more.
